Founded in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio, Nimbus & Wick Candle Co. was born from a love of scent, storytelling, and a craving for relaxation. What started as a creative outlet soon blossomed into a passion for handcrafting candles that spark emotion, inspire memories, and bring a bit more peace into everyday life.
Every candle is thoughtfully made with a focus on quality, sustainability, and care—from the natural soy blend wax and premium fragrance oils to our clean-burning cotton wicks. We believe that luxury should be accessible and that even the smallest moments can feel special when surrounded by scent and soft light.

The Founder
In a cozy spare room on the northeast side of Cleveland, surrounded by fragrance oils, wicks, and jars of wax, Susan Cloud began pouring more than just candles—she was pouring heart, memory, and intention into every vessel. A proud Ohio native, Susan has always felt inspired by the city’s rich roots and vibrant neighborhoods. After years of working behind the scenes in other roles, she decided it was time to follow her creative passion and bring a little light (and a lot of beautiful scents) into the world.
Nimbus & Wick Candle Co. was born from that spark. Each candle tells a story or captures a cherished memory—whether it's the crisp, earthy scent of summer rain or the nostalgic aroma of a beloved local coffee shop on a snowy afternoon in Shaker Heights.
As the business grows, Susan stays grounded in her mission: to create more than candles—to create comfort, connection, and community. Giving back, staying rooted, and crafting with care are at the heart of everything she does.
Today, Nimbus & Wick is proud to call Cleveland home, with hopes of spreading its glow far beyond.
